The Sentricon System

Chemistry
RECRUIT II - Exposure and the Environment
Recruit* II termite bait with its active ingredient, hexaflumuron, was the first product approved under the EPA's new Reduced Risk Pesticide Initiative. Recruit II passed the stringent new standards partly because it is designed to be ingested and removed from the Baitube* device only by worker termites. These termites then pass it along to other members of the termite colony. This limits Recruit's presence in the environment outside the station. Plus, hexaflumuron impacts termites by inhibiting their rather unique molting process.

RECRUIT AG - An Additional Tool to Control Termite Colonies
Like Recruit II, contained in Baitube* devices used with in-ground Sentricon stations, Recruit AG contains the active ingredient hexaflumuron to stop termites' molting process. Hexaflumuron is spread throughout the colony as the termites feed on Recruit AG and send their nestmates to feed on the bait.

But unlike Recruit II, Recruit AG bait devices are placed in areas above ground. The bait matrix is immediately available to termites foraging in those areas. Used together, Recruit II and Recruit AG will feed more hexaflumuron to termites more quickly, controlling the attacking termite colony faster.
